How Monerixa works
From upload to payment in under two minutes — for creators and buyers alike.
For creators
Connect your wallet
Open Monerixa and connect your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, etc.). No email, no password — your wallet is your account.
Upload your content
Choose a file (up to 100 MB), paste text, or enter a link. Add an optional title and description, then set your price in USDC — minimum $0.10, no maximum. Text content is automatically checked against our content policy, and file uploads are scanned for malware before being made available to buyers.
Set an expiry and pay the deposit
Choose how long the paywall stays active (1 hour to 365 days). Your wallet will ask you to sign a message to prove you own the address — this is free (no gas, no funds). A small USDC deposit is also required to prevent spam — from $0.01 for text/links up to $0.15 for large files. If you have platform credits, they are applied automatically and no deposit transaction is needed (credit-funded deposits are not refunded — credits are a one-cycle reward). On-chain deposits are credited back as platform credit once your paywall earns $1 in total gross buyer revenue. If the paywall expires with zero sales, or is removed for policy violations, the deposit is retained and non-refundable. Repeatedly uploading infected files may also result in deposit forfeiture.
Share your unique link
After upload you get a unique URL (e.g. monerixa.com/abc123). Paste it anywhere — social media, newsletters, Discord. Anyone who clicks it sees your paywall.
Collect payments instantly
When a buyer pays, 95% of the USDC goes directly to your wallet on-chain in the same transaction. There is no payout schedule — the funds are yours the moment the transaction confirms.
For buyers
Visit the paywall link
Click the link the creator shared. You'll see a payment card with the price breakdown — creator share and the 5% platform fee.
Connect your wallet
Click "Connect Wallet" and approve with your wallet. No account creation required.
Pay in USDC
Click "Pay". Your wallet prompts you to approve a single Solana transaction — two USDC transfers (creator + platform fee) bundled together. Typical fee is under $0.001.
Access your content
Once the transaction confirms on-chain (usually under a second), the content unlocks immediately. Files can be downloaded, text is revealed, or links are shown. Access persists for the paywall's duration. As an added protection, creators cannot delete a paywall for 24 hours after your purchase — so you always have time to download what you paid for.
Under the hood
Payment verification — After the transaction broadcasts, our backend fetches it directly from the Solana RPC. It extracts the sender wallet from the transaction data (never trusts the client), parses the USDC token balance changes, and confirms both the creator and platform received the correct amounts (±0.001 USDC tolerance).
Replay protection — Every transaction signature is stored with uniqueness enforcement. Replaying the same signature returns an error.
File security — Files are encrypted with industry-standard authenticated encryption before storage. Each file gets its own encryption key. Downloads are decrypted on-the-fly — the encryption key never leaves the server.
Download access — To download, your wallet signs a message to prove ownership. The server verifies the signature, checks you have a valid payment record, and issues a short-lived download token. Access is re-verified on every download — there is no way to share a permanent download link.
